- 1.9 No Power Gaming – Forcing actions upon another player without giving them a fair chance to react is not allowed.
- 1.10 Poor Quality of Role Play (PQRP) refers to players who cannot uphold a high standard of roleplay while in character (IC). All players are required to stay in character at all times and maintain a quality level of role play.
- 1.12 If a rule is broken, create a ticket and patiently wait for staff to respond. Give them as much information/evidence as you have (locations, names, game clips, etc.) so they may review it and check logs to confirm the information (Logs DO NOT lie), and from there come to a conclusion.
- 1.13 Exploiting loopholes and/or grey areas are prohibited. If you've done something and have to say "Well technically," you've screwed up.
- 1.14 Under no circumstances is poaching for or from other servers allowed. Unless someone directly asks, never send a player from another server or from this server a link. This includes any advertisement for our server or any other server.
- 1.15 Do not use radios, Megaphones, PA systems, or anything using VoIP to blast non-RP-related sounds (i.e., memes, earrape, etc).
- 1.16 You must value your life at all times in all situations.
- 1.17 We do not allow the use of any Discord or unrelated software that allows you to view the information of other people within the server. If it is found that you are doing so, it will result in a permanent ban with no chance to appeal.
- 1.18 You are not allowed to impersonate other people on the IC-radio, while yes it is a text chat, it is still someone transmitting their voice over it.
Character Rules:
- 2.0 Your character must be at least 18 years of age.
- 2.1 Your character must be realistic (I.e no meta-humans, cyborgs, government experiments, half-infected, immune, etc. If you wish to play a character that stretches realism, make a ticket),
- 2.2 Avoid playing a morally grey survivor with no pros or cons, your character must have some kind of flaw, fear, etc.
- 2.3 You must make a ticket to play the following characters:
- Government Officials (Senators, Vice President, etc.)
- Scientists (You must have a basic understanding of what you're playing),
- Military characters past the rank of E-5, any officer ranks or special forces (So staff-Sergeant and up, for this you must have a basic understanding of what you're playing),
- Government security job (Homeland Security, CIA, FBI, etc)
- 2.4 You cannot play any real celebrities or politicians from real life, nor parodies of these characters and must have realistic names. (D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Robert Downey Jr, Barack Obama, etc)
- 2.5 New Life Rule (NLR) – If you die, you cannot return to the scene of your “death” for at least 1 hour. You must also forget all events up to 30 minutes that led to your “death” and treat it like you were saved by someone, whether that be your friend or a stranger.
- 2.6 Character Death - A character death or CK occurs under the following conditions: You are executed, or you have done something that would cause your character to die. The following are not proper reasons for a CK: Death in the KOS zones, hostile RP without a proper reason for your character to die(such as a robbery or a gunfight), death to zombies while with people. If you die in any of those ways, you are subject to NLR. In order for a CK to occur a ticket must be opened for approval.
- 2.7 Stay in Character – Always act according to your character’s backstory and motivations.
- 2.8 You must value your character's life and treat your character's life as the only one you have.
- 2.9 Your character is officially killed if you decide to kill them yourself or are executed as a hostage. Executions are final and can only result if the hostage is uncooperative and not valuing their life.
- 2.10 If your character is killed and you have friends with you, they can do medical RP to bring you back. To do this, you must make a ticket and explain what your injuries are and that you do not wish to kill your character. From there, an admin will supervise the medical RP where your friend must use in-game text to roleplay giving you medical aid. If successful, you will be brought back to your body unconscious. ~ Please note you must make a ticket if you wish to “revive” your friend.
- 2.11 When using Discord, while in-game, you must have a radio with a battery on you. If the radio is taken or your hands are tied, you must deafen in Discord, if killed then you must stay deafened for five minutes then leave the VC.
- 2.12 If you wish to use a voice changer, you must open a ticket and provide IC reasoning for it. If approved, your voice changer must remain on at all times as long as the reasoning stays.
- 2.13 NO ERP, relationship RP is allowed, however, keep it very plain, nothing suggestive or bordering on ERP. If we get a ticket regarding it and it is found to be violating the rule, then punishments will be handed out.
Quality of Roleplay Rules:
- 3.1 You must not ignore a player when they are trying to roleplay with you, if you want them to leave you alone, tell them that.
- 3.2 You must roleplay fear, pain, emotions, etc. You cannot use excuses like “I’m used to it”, “I’m immune to pain”, “I used to be part of X for Y amount of time so I learned to live with the pain/fear”, “I’m emotionless” etc.
- 3.3 You cannot ask about “lore” or “rules” in-game, any questions relating to such can be directed to the Discord. You may use terms such as “storm”, “headaches” and “throat issues/problems” when referring to restarts and PC/game issues.
- 3.4 Your character must have some form of story to start with. “Throwaway” characters or temporary characters are not allowed.
- 3.5 AOGM: In order to maintain a proper quality of roleplay, you are not allowed to use game mechanics to acquire an “edge” over others, this includes abusing game mechanics, bugs, and glitches within the map and on Dayz.
- 3.6 NVL: NVL (Non-value of life) refers to when a player acts in a manner that threatens their own life. ( I.e. starting a gunfight while outnumbered) If you are found to have acted so, it will count as a CK (Character Kill), this goes into more depth in 4.11.
~ Please note that we aren’t expecting any A-list actors or the next George R.R. Martin in terms of RP and/or storytelling. What we do expect is everyone to do their best in maintaining the immersion of all players and high quality role play is pursued. Please do your best while in-game. If you need any help, please feel free to reach out in the Discord.

Hostile Roleplay Rules:
While hostile RP is encouraged, we do not allow cookie-cutter bandits or robbing sprees. These are examples of poor quality of hostile RP and overall RP. You must have a realistic reason to be a bandit, this is as simple as “We want/need what they have.”
- 4.0 When initiating Hostile RP, you must make a clear and verbal command followed by a threat of consequences. An example would be “Put your hands up, or I’ll shoot” or “Hands up right now!” while raising your gun at them.
ALL HOSTILE INTERACTIONS MUST BE RECORDED.,
- 4.1 Hostile roleplay must have a legitimate reason to start hostilities. Legitimate reasons for initiation include
Matters of survival. If you see someone with food and you don’t have any food, you may rob them for said food, same goes for groups. If your group doesn’t have any supplies but you know another group does, robbing them for said supplies is legitimate.,
Bad behavior. Becoming vulgar or acting negatively, such as being “sassy” or “having an attitude,” is a legitimate reason for another character to become hostile with you.,
~ Please note having a legitimate reason to become hostile is not a license to shoot without warning. Rule 4.0 still applies.
- 4.2 When robbing another or multiple players, you must make a clear and verbal demand with an audible threat for an initiation to be legitimate. We do not allow “Hands up or die! Hands up or die!” - this and anything similar is poor quality of role play. Once you initiate, you must give the player/s you have initiated on have 5 seconds to react. You may not begin to shoot at or kill someone once initiation has been given unless your life is in immediate danger as a result of initiation. I.e., the opposing player/group raises their weapon/s in response to the initiation.
- 4.3 When robbing a player/group, you cannot rob them for every item they have. Rule 12.1 also applies. A player being robbed must be left with the following:
- A reasonable weapon for self-defense such as a knife or firearm.
- One full item of food (you cannot eat most of it then give it back)
- One container filled at minimum 25% of the way with clean, drinkable fluids.
- A bandage or rag to tend to their wounds.
- A full set of adequate clothes for the environment.
- Hostages may not be forced to consume any deadly consumable of any kind.
- 4.4 When using roadblocks, you must use a megaphone (cars already stopped or slowed down do not require a megaphone) to stop cars, once slowed down, orders must be given clearly to the occupants of the vehicle.
- 4.5 When taking a hostage during a hostile engagement, they must be released after a period of 30 minutes unless RP allows for it AND OOC permission is given.
- 4.6 No Double Tap / Forced Perma Rule Players are not allowed to execute or “double tap” an unconscious player to force a permanent character death. You also are not allowed to double tap someone during a hostile encounter and must wait till they wake up in order to shoot them again, however provide them a chance to surrender.
- 4.7 Bounty Contracts – Players can place bounties on other players. To get approval for a bounty, you must show the following. Once approval is obtained, then whoever has taken the bounty may go after the target. NOTE: If you want someone killed, it must be admin-approved, and proper roleplay should be provided.
- You must know who you are placing the bounty on.
- You must have a reason to place the bounty on them.
- You must provide a reward for the bounty.
- Open a ticket after you have everything else and you may present it for approval.
- 4.9 Kidnapping - You may kidnap someone without their consent, however, if they provide OOC time constraints, then you must go along with it. Without a time constraint being given, you may hold them for 1 hour before obtaining OOC permission to continue holding them.
- 4.10 Torture RP - Minor flesh cutting, basic physical harm, and beatings are allowed, however, to go further, such as removing appendages or making deeper, lasting scars, OOC consent must be acquired. If, at any time, the victim gets uncomfortable and they ask you to stop OOC, then you must do so. The purpose of torture RP is for storytelling and RP quality, not for shock value or OOC discomfort, if a fade to black is asked for, it WILL be followed.
- 4.11 NVL - If you are initiated on, and there are more of them than you, at a 3 to 1 ratio (I.E if there are two of them and one of you, you are free to fight back), but if there are three you must cooperate, you must value your life and act accordingly. When against a larger group and you are severely outnumbered, this ruling applies even if the ratio is not correct, I.E 4 of you, 7 of them.
- 4.12 If a hostage or kidnapped individual does not comply with demands, is overly belligerent, or you obtain IC reasoning for it, then you are allowed to execute them, resulting in a CK.
Kill on Sight (KOS) Rules:
- 5.1 Territory Defense – If a group owns a marked base, they may KOS intruders AFTER issuing a verbal warning loud enough for them to hear (three bar volume) if the intruder does not comply.
- 5.2 Retaliation Rights – If you are attacked or a group member is killed, you gain KOID rights on the attackers for 15 minutes, however, you must properly identify them.
- 5.3 Engagement & Pursuit: If a firefight is initiated and one party leaves, the initiating party has up to 15 minutes to track and engage them. After 15 minutes, the fleeing party is no longer a valid target and the hostile encounter has ended and both sides may log out if needed.
Base Building Rules:
- 6.1 All bases must be built in a realistic fashion and size (overhangs must have support beams, no skyscrapers, etc) and cannot be built in a way that blocks roads or major loot locations.
- 6.2 Faction Bases – Factions are allowed one main base and one outpost.
- The outpost is limited to one building, any connections to other buildings must be walled off.
- Faction members are not allowed to have personal bases, stashes, safe houses or anything else that involves any building/requiring flag coverage.
- 6.3 Non-Faction Player Bases – Players not connected to a faction may have one base of reasonable size.
- 6.4 Base building limits: A base can have at max two airlocks, an airlock qualifies as two doors with a space between them at the entrance of a base, aside from this you are only allowed to have enough doors to seal off a room(i.e one entrance-one door two entrances- two doors, you may not overlap buildings to make it more difficult to raid.
- 6.5 You can build a base anywhere on the map except for Military Bases/Bunkers. All bases must be at least 100m away from any minor military bases, whereas they must be at least 350m away from major military bases. If you wish to have a base near or at a military site or medical area, please open a ticket for approval, and all loot spawns will be removed from the area.
- 6.6 All bases require a flag to claim the area, if a base does not have a flag, then it can be raided without the owners being online.
- 6.7 If a faction wants to move their base, they MUST deconstruct their entire base in the current area to be able to move. (Must destroy all walls, doors, ceilings, etc.)
- 6.8 While, as of writing this rule, we have no storage limit, if your base is too laggy, you will be asked to downsize. Admins will assist if requested.
- 6.9 You may build police stations and medical facilities, but you must roleplay as a police officer/faction or doctor, or have a proper reason to base there.
Base Raiding Rules:
- 7.1 Offline raiding is strictly prohibited.
- 7.2 All raids must be ticket approved before taking place, and at least one member of the raiding party that enters the base (not standing watch but going in), MUST be recording.
- 7.3 Boosting, glitching, or entering a base in any other way aside from a door is prohibited.
- 7.4 Items left unsecured outside of a base are allowed to be taken, this includes storage and unlocked vehicles.
- 7.5 No Griefing – Destroying bases, despawning loot, lowering flags, or blocking off access without purpose is considered griefing and is bannable.
- 7.6 You are not allowed to guess codes to enter a base.
- 7.7 You are not allowed to inside someone, if you leave a group, you must wait a week before you can attempt to raid them.
- 7.8 Bases may only be raided if at least 2 members or half(whichever is less) of the defending group are online. No offline raiding unless explicitly permitted by admins. Before the raid begins, the attacking side MUST use a megaphone to confirm someone is home. They must tell those inside that they are there to raid their base and then give them the opportunity to surrender. If the defenders surrender, all doors must be opened and no resistance given. If the defenders refuse to surrender the base, then the attackers are free to begin their assault. Raids have an 80-minute timer, once the timer runs out, the attacking side must retreat, and the raid is considered a failure.
- 7.9 During a base raid, you can take whatever you can carry. You may not use vehicles or other placeable storage items as extra storage, if you empty any storage and place the items into other storage present, you may take it. However, once you leave the base with what you have taken, you are not permitted to enter it again.
- 7.10 If a base is unsecured, i.e, there is a wall missing, the door is unlocked and left open, players may enter the base, however, rule 5.2 still applies.
- 7.11 If a base has been left abandoned (the flag is completely down, or you suspect the flag is all the way down, make a ticket, and if the owners have not been active, you will be permitted to raid it, and this will not count towards 7.12.
- 7.12 Raid limits: A group can only raid once a week, and a base can only be raided once a week.
- 7.13 During a raid, if the defenders are outnumbered, then NVL does not apply to them as long as they are staying within their base defending. If allies are called to help the defenders, they must clearly initiate on the attackers, giving them a clear chance to surrender. The raiding party may not call for any additional allies, and must fight back with those brought to the raid. Along with this, if a raid is successful, the raiders cannot call allies to swoop in and take any gear left, once the raid is over, no other groups or survivors can come up to pick through what's left.
Faction Rules:
- 8.1 Factions must have an identifier, and they must wear it at all times. Faction leaders can open a ticket with staff to decide what that identifier will be.
~ Please note that for an Identifier it MUST be an armband.

- 8.3 Faction size: All factions will be limited to having 20 members total, for bigger groups, please open a ticket.
